You’ll first travel north of Vang Vieng about 8 miles to Elephant Cave (formations that resembling an Elephant, funnily enough) and the adjacent Lao village where you can see ancient Buddha statues. After this you head to Hoi Cave and Loup Cave, home to innumerate stalactites and stalagmites.
Next it is a short trek to the Water Cave, with opportunity to swim inside and explore it deeper by sitting on a floating inner-tube.
After lunch you kayak down the Nam Song. You watch the sun set behind the mountains and along the way you’ll have the opportunity to stop at an organic farm.
From here onwards it’s back on to the tubes again, down to the river until you reach Vang Vieng.
